Dear Fellow Farr 30 Owners and Competitors,
I am pleased to invite you to participate in our 2011 Farr 30 World
Championship.
With the support of the St. Francis Yacht Club and through our generous
sponsors Brickyard Cove Marina, Quantum Sails, RigPro/Southern Spars and
Patagonia, we are set to make history in San Francisco this September with our first ever
World Championship to be held on the West coast of North America.
Together with our sponsors we have worked very hard to make this event as cost
efficient as possible for all teams. We have also worked to bring you top quality racing,
along with a full social schedule worthy of world class competition. I would like to
encourage all of you to support your Class and ensure the future of Farr 30 One Design
racing directly through your participation in this esteemed event. Your actions will
speak louder than words.
Past winners of the Farr 30 World Championship Royal Canadian Yacht Club Trophy
include Luca Basani (ITA), Vincenzo Onorato (ITA), Richard Perini (AUS), Erik Maris
(FRA), Guy Stenning (AUS) and in 2010 Daniel Souben (FRA).
With current entries from Canada, Germany, Sweden and the United States, the stage is
being set for an exciting test of endurance, skill and strategy. We proudly look forward
to naming a new World Champion and holder of the prestigious Royal Canadian Yacht
Club Trophy.
