MBYC, however there is a limited number of slips. Dockage will also
be available right next door at Eldean Shipyard. This first class
shipyard offers a complete shipstore and a full service marina.
This is one of the finest facilities you will ever visit. Both MBYC
and Eldeans have full pool and shower facilities. For dockage reservations
please contact Eldean Shipyard at 616-335-5843. For information
on the area you can log on to www.eldean.com. Central Park Grocery
Store is a short drive from the club and will be a great place to
get provisions.
Lodging:
With MBYC being located on the south side of Lake Macatawa, you
have a number of lodging options. Saugatuck, is a short 6 mile drive
to the south that offers an active nightlife and fantastic shopping.
There are many nice inns available around the Saugatuck area and
these may be found at the following website: www.saugatuck.com A
few recommendations are the Wickwood Inn (1-800-385-1174) and the
Belmont Inn in Saugatuck. These are very nice Inns. In addtion there
is also a Holiday Inn Express just outside of downtown Saugatuck.
The number is 616-857-7178. A few restaurants in the Saugatuck area
are; The Butler, Wallys, Maro's and Billy's Boathouse.
There
is also a number of options available in Holland. Currently we have
rooms reserved at both the Holiday Inn and the Hampton Inn. At the
time of writing there were 20 rooms reserved at the new Hampton
Inn, with 50 rooms open. To book rooms at the Hampton call 616-399-8500
and refer to the following confirmation number: 88338639
There
are also 15 rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn. The phone number
is 616-394-0111 and the confirmation number is: SBR. The Holiday
Inn is approx. 6 miles from MBYC and the Hampton Inn is 9 miles.
This is about as nice a Hampton Inn as you will find. Both are located
on US 31, and a 10-15 minute drive to the yacht club and the active
night life in Saugatuck.
Another
nice hotel with limited availability is the Haworth Inn & Conference
Center, within walking distance of down town. The number is 1-800-903-9142.
For any information on the Holland area you can log on to www.holland-chamber.org
and go to the visitors section. A few nice restaurants in the Holland
area are: The Piper next to Eldean Shipyard, Pereddies (great Italian
food), 84 East and 8th Street Grille (both on 8th Street down town).
Holland is known for its beaches and dunes, as the event gets closer
I will get you additional information including Sailing Instructions
and rules for the 3 on 3 basketball tournament. If you have any
