Play on the Final Day
The
Mumm 30 class order could not have been disturbed; Richard Perini
had no need to race Foreign Affair because even counting his discarded
tenth place in the final race, the Australian skipper could not
be beaten. He went out for the last race, allegedly with beer and
a stereo on board.
Celebrating
his victory on Thursday night, Perini revealed that he would take
part in major Mumm 30 regattas in the United States as part of his
work-up to the World Championship in Annapolis in September. He
was more interested in telling the story of his boat captain, Darren
Jones, and his "face-plant" off the dock into the harbour
earlier in the day.
The
Farr One-Design classes would like to thank their sponsors: Hi-Tech
Composites, Doyle Sailmakers, European Ocean Freight.
