The opening goes to MON 01 of Farneti-Musone with Bressani calling the tactics

The curtain of the first series of the Italian Circuit M 30 falls after three days and nine beautiful races in the waters north of Scoglietto, just off Portoferraio.
The Southerly wind on the final day was more challenging for the fleet, with gusts up to 15 knots and shifts of 30 degrees.
Farneti-Musone’s MON 01 with Lorenzo Bressani calling tactics was dominant winning all of the races on the last day. Mauro Moccheggiani’s Diletta and Gasperoni-Franchini-Zaoli’s Magic Mitsubishi Electric finished second and
third, respectively, in the first race. In the second race, Magic Mitsubishi Electric took second and Spanez, with Mario and Vittorio Volontè on board, took third after an exciting comeback. In the final race, Diletta had another good performance with Andrea Casale as tactician, finishing in second place just ahead of Magic Mitsubishi Electric with Gabriele Benussi.
MON 01 dominated the first regatta of the Italian Circuit with 8 first place finishes in 9 races. Francesco Farneti and Andrea Musone sailed with Lorenzo Bressani as tactician, Sandro Montefusco as mainsail trimmer, and Pietro Parmeggiani as tailer. Magic Mitsubishi Electric with helmsman Marco Franchini finished 18 points behind the winner and just two points ahead of Diletta for the regatta. Eleven boats competed in total. The stage of Portoferraio has been accomplished with the precious collaboration of the Italian Navy League sez. Portoferraio. The location for the second stage of the Italian Circuit M30 is Marine Marciana (25-27 April), then there will be a pause in the month of May in order to dispute to the European Championship in Venice (15-18 May) and will resume to Rimini for last the two stages (27-29 June and 25-27 July).
